Amber Remillard joined the Hartford Seminary staff in January as our new Admissions Recruiter. She will work primarily with Tina Demo, Director of Recruitment and Admissions.
Amber has extensive experience in student recruitment and retention, public speaking and institutional organization, among other skills. As Director of Admissions at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA, she led the admissions team’s recruitment efforts and conducted one-on-one career counseling with prospective students and program candidates.
Amber also worked as a vocational counselor in the admissions offices of the Eastern Cluster of ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) Seminaries in Philadelphia.
In addition to her work experience, Amber is an ordained minister in the ELCA. From 2007-2012, she was the chief administrator for two churches, handling communications, programming, office management, teaching and preaching, among other duties.
Amber has a B.A. in English and another B.A. in History from the University of Washington. She has a Master of Divinity from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary.
